So I’ve been thinking about what to write recently, but I couldn’t decide because so much has happened since school let out, so I’m going to cram it all into this one post… enjoy 😉
The Tuesday that school was released and we all escaped, I went home with a friend and spent the night at her place. While I was there, we walked up to the park and took some pictures, which was amazingly fun and awesome, by the way.
Then that Friday, I picked up one of my friends at her bus stop and we bought lunch at Safeway, ate at her house, then walked back to mine to have a Star Wars marathon (which we never actually finished). Later, I took five of my friends and we crashed Heather’s graduation party at Brunswick Zone. We played laser tag (and totally got our butts kicked by the older kids who out numbered us… I don’t think any of us had played in the past three years, so you know what? We don’t care! It was fun!) Then we did some cosmic bowling! All of us, of course, had the bumpers on. The first game we all took very seriously and a couple of us even scored over 100! The second game… We didn’t take turns, just went whenever (occasionally we even went 2 at a time 😉 ) and we tried any number of tricks. Like between the knees, backwards, spinning, left handed, eyes shut, and while hopping on one foot. Then, after getting home around 3 am, we all crashed in the camper. A day well spent, if I do say so myself.
After everyone had gone home on Saturday (the first leaving around 9am the last not going until 2pm) I watched movies and stuff, falling asleep early. On Sunday, however, my friend invited me to go to Boulder for a carnival-type-thing. (Imagine Xmas in the square or the Peanut Festival, it’s a lot like that). We rode some rides, ate some bad food, tried some sample stuff, and looked at the cool trinkets being sold. Over all a fun day.
That Tuesday I went back and slept at my friends house, and we played tennis for several hours on both Tuesday and Wednesday then spent the rest of the time watching classic Disney movies and making Chinese dumplings.
Then, Thursday (today, FYI), we (“we” being me, my friend, William, and Mom) went to the pool and spent a couple of fun-filled hours there. Around 4:30 I had my first piano lesson in months, which was great, and then I came back home and posted this on my blog, which you are reading right now 😉
That was my first two weeks of summer vacation! I start babysitting on Monday! Hopefully we’ll get to go to Elitch’s before everyone leaves town! So far it’s been uber fun, and I’ll keep posting about how great this summer’s going to be! After all, it’s my one and only summer as a Sophomore and a half!
