{"id":587,"date":"2011-08-22T22:08:38","date_gmt":"2011-08-23T04:08:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.scottsontherocks.com\/courtney\/?p=587"},"modified":"2011-08-22T22:08:38","modified_gmt":"2011-08-23T04:08:38","slug":"news-to-me","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blog.scottsontherocks.com\/courtney\/2011\/08\/22\/news-to-me\/","title":{"rendered":"News To Me&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sometime last week I was casually scanning through my mom&#8217;s blog, seeing if she&#8217;d posted anything weird about me, and I saw some post titled &#8220;Latest bloodwork.&#8221; I had no idea what that meant so I clicked on it and read it, only to find out that my mother&#8217;s trip to the doctor hadn&#8217;t gone so well and they would be scanning her thyroid to see if the cancer was back, or whatever.<\/p>\n<p>Now the news itself came as a shock, but the fact that I was hearing about this for the first time through her <em>blog <\/em>was just pathetic. I mean really? We live in the same house and I&#8217;m finding out about blood problems days after the fact <em>via blogging? Seriously?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I still haven&#8217;t really heard much about the doctor&#8217;s appt. or the thyroid or the ultrasound.
