{"id":197,"date":"2013-06-29T20:30:52","date_gmt":"2013-06-30T02:30:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.scottsontherocks.com\/recipes\/?p=197"},"modified":"2014-02-24T21:28:04","modified_gmt":"2014-02-25T03:28:04","slug":"amish-cinnamon-bread","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blog.scottsontherocks.com\/recipes\/breads\/amish-cinnamon-bread\/","title":{"rendered":"Amish Cinnamon Bread"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Amish Cinnamon Bread<\/p>\n<p>No kneading, you just mix it up and bake it<\/p>\n<p>Batter:<br \/>\n1 cup butter, softened<br \/>\n2 cups sugar<br \/>\n2 eggs<br \/>\n2 cups buttermilk or 2 cups milk plus 2 tablespoons vinegar or lemon juice<br \/>\n4 cups flour<br \/>\n2 teaspoons baking soda<\/p>\n<p>Cinnamon\/sugar mixture:<br \/>\n2\/3 cups sugar<br \/>\n2 teaspoons cinnamon<\/p>\n<p>Directions<br \/>\nCream together butter, 2 cups of sugar, and eggs. Add milk, flour, and baking soda. Put 1\/2 of batter (or a little less) into greased loaf pans (1\/4 in each pan). Mix in separate bowl the 2\/3 c sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle 3\/4 of cinnamon mixture on top of the 1\/2 batter in each pan. Add remaining batter to pans; sprinkle with last of cinnamon topping. Swirl with a knife.
