{"id":277,"date":"2016-04-19T18:00:10","date_gmt":"2016-04-20T00:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.scottsontherocks.com\/recipes\/?p=277"},"modified":"2016-04-19T18:13:36","modified_gmt":"2016-04-20T00:13:36","slug":"filipino-banana-lumpia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blog.scottsontherocks.com\/recipes\/desserts\/filipino-banana-lumpia\/","title":{"rendered":"FILIPINO BANANA LUMPIA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>FILIPINO BANANA LUMPIA<\/p>\n<p>Jen Phanomrat<\/p>\n<p>December 10, 2015<\/p>\n<p>Quick and easy way to make Filipino Banana Lumpia, caramelized banana egg rolls.<\/p>\n<p>YOU&#8217;LL NEED&#8230;<br \/>\n8 square spring roll wrappers<\/p>\n<p>4 ripe bananas or plantains<\/p>\n<p>1 cup light brown sugar<\/p>\n<p>Water for sealing wrappers<\/p>\n<p>Vegetable oil<\/p>\n<p>LET&#8217;S GET COOKING&#8230;<br \/>\nSlice bananas into quarters, and roll the pieces in the brown sugar.<\/p>\n<p>Place 1-2 slices on one bottom corner of a wrapper, roll, fold, and seal. Repeat the process.<\/p>\n<p>Heat enough vegetable oil to fill a pan halfway. Fry the lumpia until golden brown on one side, flip and sprinkle a little brown sugar on top.
