Wipeout

Thursday, March 24th, 2011

Me and my family went skiing and we decided to do the ski jumps.  Courtney caught some good air like usual, Ashley not so much, Heather wasn’t in the mood to do the jumps and I jumped higher than Courtney and Ashley combined and then… I kinda landed flat on my face!  I’m pretty sure my dad took pictures but not sure if he got my wipeout.

Valentine’s box mines

Monday, February 14th, 2011

For Valentine’s Day (February 14, 2011) me and my friend Kolton worked together on a Valentine’s project.  We decided to do mines because Colorado has lots of mines and we were doing a Colorado theme.  We did a gold mine and a coal mine.  Then, my dad set up some HO trains to go through the mine boxes.  We got a certificate at school for Creativity and Partnership, and of course since it was Valentine’s day it was pink.

mouse tale

Sunday, January 23rd, 2011

One day (January 23, 2011) there was the funniest mouse chase ever.  Me and the two cats were chasing a mouse all around the house, even under the stove.  It was funny!  I laid out a few pieces of old cheese to try to get the mouse over here.  Yah, it didn’t work.  I should have done peanut butter covered cheese (NASTY!).  Once we got it under the stove, I decided to make a mouse trap.  My dad wasn’t too happy about that since it was homemade with boxes and small cheese flakes as a lure.  Later, the cat came out with a not dead but burnt mouse… and then he ate it!  GROSS!  Not for a cat though, it’s just fried mouse.

shooting range

Tuesday, December 28th, 2010

During Christmas break, on December 28, 2010, my dad took me to a shooting range and I got to try a .22 pistol.  Then I tried a .45 pistol (it spun all the way over and back!)  When we got home, my mom said she wanted to keep the target I used as a souvenir, since I had never been before.  Then my dad and me, cleaned all the guns, he had a few cool shotguns.

Murphy’s Law

Wednesday, November 24th, 2010

One day I was in study hall and I was doing my spelling.  After recess was over, I accidentally left my homework folder in study hall and somehow one of my books got stuck in someone else’s desk.  A few weeks later (November 24, 2010), my mom went to get me a new homework folder while I was at drums.  Unfortunately, they didn’t have red, so she got me orange.  She said, “The best way to find your old folder is to BUY a new one.”  Which happened to be true, the next day at the end of the school day, Ms. Pedrett found in the lab, my homework folder and a missing book (not mine).  That same day we rearranged our desks and the person’s desk who I got, had my missing book in it!  Murphy’s Law (PS. We decided to keep the orange folder).
