AKA Happy New Year!

Yes, I am well aware that it is late January. Last year it was February 14th (Valentine’s Day for those of you who didn’t catch it 😉 )

I’m talking about CHINESE NEW YEAR! It’s the year of the Dragon!!

If you were born in the years 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 0r 2012 then you are a DRAGON! How cool is that?

Now I figure every one wants to know what they are, so here you go:

Check out what your zodiac is on the chart (the normal looking one) below. Each zodiac animal has a special story behind it and each indicates distinct characteristics to the personality and physical traits of that year, you should really look it up, it’s really interesting.

Ordinal Linguistic Personification…

Sunday, January 22nd, 2012

So today I found out I have “Ordinal Linguistic Personification” otherwise known as OLP. In normal speak it means that I give personalities to numbers and letters… I honestly thought everybody did this… As it turns out it’s actually kind of weird… Lovely.

I’m not even kidding, I’ve done this since I was little. Like when I write the number seven I think of it as an annoying teenage girl, and six is a picked on little kid who has to deal with her crap and eight is a calm, wise old man figure who brings peace to it all… Again, I thought this was normal, like everyone had little imaginary number friends.

I’m not going to tell you the rest of the numbers because this is potentially embarrassing.

Officially in high school and about to start driving… the world’s going to end! (I now know the true catastrophe of 2012!)

Happy Birthday Ashley!

Watches…

Monday, January 9th, 2012

So I was looking at my previous blog and I realized that I hadn’t posted anything since New Years. Now, my life is interesting enough that I have several things I can talk about. And I plan to. One day. But right now I don’t want to talk about my life right now, I want to talk about watches.

That’s right, watches. As in wrist watches. That tell time and everything.

Now there’s two million, five hundred, and eighty seven different things I can say about watches, but I’m only going to focus on a few of them.

The first one being the price of watches. I’m not positive how much watches cost nowadays (and I’m talking full-blown heavy, men’s watches. Not little kid’s digital ones with Mickey Mouse eating the numbers) but I imagine they’re not cheap. One thing I did notice whilst I was out shopping, was that the less the watch had on it, the more it cost.

And what I mean by that is digital watches are the cheapest, then watches with numbers, roman numerals, dashes/dots, and finally nothing. Seriously there was a 500 dollar watch which had nothing but the hands on it. I do have several theories as to why this may be–to show intelligence maybe? Or sophistication? Who knows, but it seems kind of dumb to me.

Another thing about watches is something I saw on a TV show once. The guy was an optical illusionist (0r something along those lines…) and he went up to random people who were wearing watches (similar to those mentioned above) and asked them to cover their watches with one hand. Then he asked them things like “does your watch have numbers or dashes?” or “does your watch have a second hand?” The interesting thing was that for the most part, people had no idea. Something they look at everyday and they couldn’t describe it. Just an interesting tidbit for you.

The last thing I’m going to say about watches before moving on to things more relevant in life (like my homework) is that watches are pretty much replaced. Everyone just uses their phones now anyways, there isn’t hardly a need for watches. This basically means that everything else I have talked about thus far is absolutely fruitless and is nothing more than rambling that will amount to nothing in the future…

Thoughts of Bill Vaughn…

Sunday, January 1st, 2012

Youth is when you’re allowed to stay up late on New Year’s Eve.  Middle age is when you’re forced to.

An optimist stays up until midnight to see the new year in.  A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves.

Happy New Year!!!!

It’s finally 2012!! I don’t know about you, but I’ll still be writing 2011 on EVERYTHING.
