The little things
November 1, 2011It’s gotten a little rough recently. Last week was insane, but some aspects of it was a blast! I will note, that although it was amazing, I will NOT be going to see rocky horror picture show in the theatre ever again. At least, not without a helmet. The movie itself was amazing. Since I had already seen it twice because me and some friends watched it a few weekends ago, I knew most of the lyrics to the songs and of course the dance to ‘time warp’. I caught on to where people were yelling and when to throw various items. However, after the movie some genius decided to throw a water gun. Not meaning to hit anyone, he somehow actually clipped me in the face (still have a chunk of skin missing right below my eye and somewhat of a bruise around said eye). Hence the need for a helmet, plus trying to wash all the rice, oatmeal, toast and confetti out of my hair was nearly impossible. I ended up scrubbing my hair so much that my scalp hurt later.
That was last weekend. Starting Monday, I had midterm after exam after test in ever class (and even multiples in one class ugh). Luckily my bio exam got postponed from the Wednesday before fall break to the Friday after so when I was on the train I could study. I think I did pretty well on it. I had a midterm in history that I THOUGHT would kick my butt, but luckily since I went to a couple of tutor sessions for that class, I think I actually did pretty well! That makes me happy. So, so far, I am passing all my classes with a C or higher ^__^
Fall break was fun, getting to go back home I got to see my family again, and as soon as I walked through the door I got tackled to the ground by two of the shrimps. Courtney reluctantly gave me a hug =P William spent the night with me which we haven’t done in so long. I was pooped. I miss having a double bed honestly. I went and saw one of my best friends, Yuko, at the mall. We got matching Adam Lambert shirts. I half expected to have been made to sand some ceiling or something to the house… luckily I got out of that. Riding the train was a lot of fun, but I slept most of the way back because I forgot to take motion sickness medicine and I wasn’t feeling good.
Not going to talk much about this because of how depressed I was. Me and Derek broke up. Long distance wasn’t working for us and communication on both our ends failed.
Well, I definitely had the flu last week. While in the middle of building trick or treat street, I got really sick, and had to ditch everyone to go to the girls bathroom. I love bathrooms while I’m sick. I can sleep on bathroom floors… when they’re not college dorm bathrooms. I had to go take a shower and disinfect myself after being on that floor for twenty minutes not being able to move out of that stall without puking. That was disgusting. Bryan made me ramen and tea <3
I worked the trick or treat street on Halloween. I was toto cause I already had a cat costume that didn’t take much to alter into a dog. After that was done me, Julian, Clayton, Bryan, Tommy, Matt, Alisha, Sam, Cristy, Shylo, Stephen, Spencer, Ashley and Brandon went trick or treating. I stayed over with Alisha and Ashley and Brandon at Christy and Sam’s house. Sam was a gypsy and she drove us nuts with her jingling coins on her skirt. We watched a couple of horror movies. Of course, being the easily scared person I am, I jumped a lot.
The picture will finish this.
According to Marcus
October 24, 2011Clayton: “Marcus, remember when you told me that we were going to have a magical sword fight?”
Marcus: “I do remember, and what a glorious day it will be! We shall be standing on hill tops and huge swords will apear out of no where and they will have a magical aura surrounding them. There will be lightning striking from the sky as we charge each other. The force of our swords clashing for the first time shall be powerful enough that it will make Zeus himself fall from the Heavens. Then we shall slay the mighty God Zeus and continue our fight to the death!!!”
Clayton: “Alright, Marcus. I will see you on the hill top and await out battle in the near future.”
Marcus, walking away: “Indeed you shall!”

Nicknames… such a fasination
October 4, 2011Doesn’t it annoy you when there’s those kids with the same name… especially when you go “Hey Taylor!” and six people turn there head and go “which taylor”. In elementary we would go ‘Taylor B.’ or ‘Taylor C.’ that just gets annoying. Ergo, Nicknames. Recently I discovered (as I was trying to tell Clayton that I needed him to text Carolyn for me since my hands were full but she’s labeled under pikachu) there are some really weird nicknames that seem to have no origin out there.
By far some of the weirder ones I’ve heard are the ones I don’t realize are nicknames until someone tells me. For instance Mistyn is a nickname of whose origin I have no clue or what his actual name is. I was introduced to Totoro as Totoro and didn’t realize that his real name was Jake until he finally went “Why the heck do people call me that??? My name’s Jake! JAKE!” a month after I met him. Then there’s Quail, whose name I didn’t know until I read his name plate on his door… I think its Carson.
Then there’s the totally ridiculous names that just stick. Like Furby (Danny)! Or Pikachu(Carolyn). Or Dragon(Deanne)… Puff the magic Dragon(Dragos from Romania)… Anakin(Jakob)…Furrie(Stephanie)…Miss Ng(Stephanie Ng)…Simon(Patrick). Then theres the ones that make since. Mills(Miller) or TJ (Thomas Jones) Etc.
Boring Weekends
September 9, 2011College isn’t all its cracked up to be; especially on the weekends. You sit there, either staring at the wall or playing video games, being bored out of your mind. For the past… one, two… six and a half hours I have been either playing league of legends or watching Clayton sit there and be bored. Luckily, The Cab (a band I’m actually a little familiar with and they’re not to shabby if I must say) is having a free concert that we’re going to tomorrow night. Sadly… Ashley, Braunson, Marcus and a couple others (including the MIA Kevin…) are gone for the weekend (Kevin might be at a concert or just, gone). Now here’s the depressing thing… back in Denver (no more than 30 minutes away by lightrail) NDK is happening. An anime convention that a whole section of our friends are going to is happening this week. Both me and Clayton wanted to go so bad but not only do we not have money for his gas, he would need a hotel room. I could’ve either stayed at home or in Carolyn’s room (she reserved said room for me, Monina and Deanne last year). Sadly, we didn’t go so we’re stuck here staring lustfully at NDK facebook posts TT__TT Curse you broke college life.

That’s new
August 31, 2011Well, since I’m off starting a new life, I might as well start blogging about it.
For those of you who do not know, I have moved on to Colorado Mesa University. It’s located in Grand Junction, conveniently highlighted by the green star here. I am about 4:30 -5:00 hours away from Castle Rock, half way between Denver and Colorado Springs for those of you who are wondering… not so conveniently highlighted or labeled anywhere.
Noting on my new life, I now live in a dorm (pictures available on my facebook page) named Rait hall. It’s about a five minute walk to each end of the campus. To make it easier on you, I have a map. Cyan are the buildings of which my five classes are in, Pink is my dorm, and purple is where I eat my food, but sometimes I eat in pink and my classes might go into purple or other buildings, so I’m actually all over the place.
Beyond classes, there’s some people I’ve been hanging out with (since I’ve had the lack of homework I’ve been expecting). Geez, I have to much free time TT__TT hopefully that’ll change once my work study kicks in. My roommate’s pretty sweet, her name’s Krista and she’s majoring in musical theater. She wants to be a Disney performer! Like on cruises or Broadway type of thing. There my buddies Geneva and Jakoby that I sometimes sit with during meal times. Then there’s my AMAZING neighbor, Ashley, who is majoring in Physical Therapy (ironic seeing that she’s in a boot from torn ligaments). There’s the most epicest RA ever, Autumn, who’ve I been known to appear in her room every so often cause she’s that amazing. The sad thing about my dorm is that I finally got my ethernet working, but wifi doesn’t work on the girls’ side of the dorm TT__TT so off to the guys side! There’s a good sized lounge in between the two sides with the computer lab which is what I’ve been using for homework. but there’s some epic rooms I’d rather hang out in. Clayton is a music education major and we’ve become bestest buds. He’s pretty cool but over uses the term “boss”. He’s pretty boss. His roommate is Braunson, whom is a good friend of Ashley’s so the four of us do stuff together (wandering halls, going to campus events, etc.) Their neighbor on the right is Brandon, the guy’s RA, whose pretty cool, and his girlfriend Ashley (who we call Chibi… and is not my neighbor) is awesome as well. On the other side of Clayton we have Kevin, who looks like he walked out of a california surfer’s magazine… but he’s not from cali and he’s never been surfing aparently O.o Donno his roommate. Then in the back corner there’s Julian and Marcus. They’re amazing, to put it in simple terms. There’s always five or six of us in that room XD Steven and Shylo (twins) live off campus but come and hang out. And every so often Quail (he lives on the second floor somewhere) shows up. They’ve taught me how to play magic out of boredom on the weekends XD Interesting fact about guys (and me); they like to sit around just watching ONE play a video game. And all of these people (excluding Ashley, Braunson and possibly Marcus) play League of Legends, a real time stradegy MMO that gives me a headache cause theres too much stuff going on! I don’t understand that game! ACK! *brainsplosion*
To sum up my first two and a half weeks of class, I’ve already been sick, I’ve already trashed, cleaned and trashed my dorm… In process of cleaning it again, I just have to do another trash dump and wash the dishes (MOM! Those dishes were the worst idea ever! I’m debating shoving them away and buying plastic and paper stuff from now on. There’s nowhere to clean them! But good news, there’s a water fountain/bottle filler thing here, but it’s over on the opposite side of the guy’s dorms TT__TT so the coffee maker is easy to fill, so I kept that gallon jug. The faucet is just slow as all get out and takes me five minutes to fill it). Julian plays racquetball so we’ve play twice already (duck! there’s yet another rogue ball heading towards my face!), and I have yet to go swimming. Kevin gave me a blink-182 poster so I drew him a rainbow raccoon for his door =D My guitar is collecting dust until I figure out how to read TAB again. I hate twin beds. I LOVE POPCORN hehe. And with being here for two weeks, I’ve actually lost four pounds O.o… but I’m attributing that to being sick and not eating real food for two days. I need more Ramen… and tea… and jello TT__TT My self defense class is pretty cool, and the professor is hilarious. He relates each technique to a real life scenario, which some are very frightening… considering “dark alley, big guy attacking with gun”. Geez!
Well, I have class in an hour and my stomach is growling… see ya later aligator!
