My mom [Patsy] has a treasured collection of recipes gathered over many years.  Sometime ago, she brought all her recipes over and I scanned them as .jpg images.  Over the past few years, I have been getting requests for copies of these recipes from other family members 😉  This site is a tribute to those recipes and as time permits, I will upload more of her recipes.  But… please feel free to upload some of your own favorites.  It’ll give you a great place to always have access to it and allow you to share it with others.  HOWEVER… I am going to require you to create an account to help me prevent spammers.

Pineapple-Cherry Gout Drink

Gout is a type of arthritis that has been ignored by the world, except for the people who are suffering from this unbearable disease.
Gout occurs when the uric acid begins to build up in the blood. The build ups are formed by broken down waste that the kidney produces. Once the kidneys are unable to get of the amount uric acid, it begins to crystallize and builds up waste inside of the joints.

The symptoms of gout are an unexpected pain, redness in the joint, sensitivity and heat. Gout is a chronic disease and most of the people who have it don’t want to use aspirin until the end of their lives because of its side effects. That’s why this incredible mixture of only 3 ingredients is considered to be the best natural way to treat gout as it prevents gout symptoms as anti-inflammatory medications do.

Here is what you’ll need:

Say Goodbye to Gout Forever With This Powerful Natural Treatment !

– 1 pineapple

– 1-2 teaspoons of powdered turmeric

– 1 cup of tart cherry juice

– A strainer

– A glass jar with tight cover

– 1-inch fresh ginger root or 2-3 teaspoons of powdered ginger

– Food processor and Blender

– Honey

Method of Preparation:

Remove the stem and cut the skin of the pineapple. The stem contains bromelain and you can use it if you want. But it’s ok if you use only the fruit. Cut the pineapple into pieces and put them in the blender. Blend until it’s evenly mashed up. After that put the tart cherry juice and sprinkle the teaspoons of turmeric and ginger.

Put the remedy in the container and close it. Leave the remedy in the fridge to set for about 10 days. You can also use honey or change the amounts of ginger and turmeric powder according to your personal taste. For the best effects, consume the remedy every day.

Don’t forget to share as you might help someone in need, Cheers!

Quick and easy way to make Filipino Banana Lumpia, caramelized banana egg rolls.

8 square spring roll wrappers

4 ripe bananas or plantains

1 cup light brown sugar

Water for sealing wrappers

Vegetable oil

Slice bananas into quarters, and roll the pieces in the brown sugar.

Place 1-2 slices on one bottom corner of a wrapper, roll, fold, and seal. Repeat the process.

Heat enough vegetable oil to fill a pan halfway. Fry the lumpia until golden brown on one side, flip and sprinkle a little brown sugar on top. Cook the other side until golden brown, flip and sprinkle the brown sugar on top again.

Place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.

Serve alone or with ice cream.
