“I officially hate Comcast now… 3 strikes! So, if you can at all avoid doing business w/ comcast… please choose someone else.
It seems our neighbors’ are getting cable internet, Comcast came out a month ago or so and ran a cable from the other neighbor’s pole, through our drainage ditch under the driveway… we were very suspicious right then!
I had a doctor’s appt today, the official poking & prodding of my neck and drawing a gallon of blood, always wipes me out…. I come home sit down, decide I am going to take a nap and relax when my entire house starts shaking and sounds like a helicopter has landed on the roof. My first instinct is that Jeff has exploded something in the office, but after about 0.7356 seconds I realized it couldn’t be him 😉 I got up to go find him and saw out the window that someone has a jackhammer in my driveway (OK, that’s NOT what it was but from far away it seemed like it). Turns out they were trenching a cable, starting at “one neighbor”… through our yard, under our driveway, through the drainage ditch over to the other neighbors’ house. HELLO!?!?!? There is a utility pole in their freaking yard…. why are you drilling for oil from a different pole?!?!?! Jeff went out to talk to them (Jeff works from home, hard to have a conference call with a helicopter in your living room)… they were just contractors… clueless.
Ya know, if they’d just asked… or notified us in anyway whatsoever we could have made arrangements… but NOOOOOO… Comcast just does whatever it feels like doing!!!! Yup, this makes strike THREE!!!
1st: when they installed our cable (required by company for jeff to work from home or we wouldn’t have them)… they ran it through our yard out the landscape bricks and down to the bottom. HOWEVER, they left the cable on the outside of the landscape bricks which makes mowing/weedeating very challenging. The guy laughed, said it had character….
2nd: I’m complaining for my first neighbor, when they trenched his cable, they tore right through his flower beds and punctured the weed barrier. he had been very clear that he did NOT want them doing that and to call him… oh, and the knocked out our internet when they did his. (like i said, we work from home, that was a HUGE issue).”
