[pics incl] Shirley surprised Kevin for his 50th birthday 🙂 There was LOTS of spectacular food, some “happy birthday” in English and then in Chinese and a failed attempt in Spanish 😉 Some engineering into balancing his THREE birthday cakes so they could be properly lit. Then, the discussion on how to light them… the lighting… (by the mayor, his sister & nephew and William)… THEN the singing… then the thinking about his wishes because he realized he got three (one for each cake)….. and “please blow out the candles before the cakes turn to wax” 😉
The elderly man seen in the photo is one of the last surviving Chinese-American WWII heroes (was in Normandy on Dday)
