Dinner Out Before China Trip

Ashley, AP Scholar with Distinction

Thyroid Test Results 09/04/14

Had thyroid standard visit last week. The Tg (cancer tumor markers) are clear. My personal phlebotomist 🙂 was a perfect score drawing blood, confusing Courtney. Apparently, she has never experienced that with me “where was the hot compresses and rubber bands and Doppler?!? She deserves a raise.” I agreed so I called her boss. 🙂

Evidently, thyroid hormone levels are ever so slightly high, so adjusting meds & retesting in several weeks. Will keep ya posted!

Puppy-Cat Chase, part 2

Courtney spent today “playing chase.” I think she is training him to play “hide-n-seek” as well. To be continued… 🙂

[NOTE 09/01/14: HAHA! Jeff & I taught him to play “frisbee fetch.” Jeff had a container lid that he began tossing and Nightwing would chase it. I used to have a cat that played frisbee, so I was on a mission… I cut a circle into the lid making the edge about 1/2″ for him to hold in his mouth. First try, he chased it down and brought it back! Such a good puppy-cat!]

Crazy Bouncing Rain

[pics incl] The weather is insane, it was bright and sunny for the field trip, now crazy bouncing rain [later, it hailed, sleet, and flurried?!? Then it was clear again?!? But Jeff’s flight from SF was delayed.] The rain is bouncing off the fort roof (no, the glass isn’t smudge, although I get why you asked 😉 ).

William’s Denver Field Trip

[pics incl] Somehow, William talked me into chaperoning his school field trip?!? All the kids took the bus but Danielle drove us down and I rode the bus back. I survived… with earplugs 🙂 The boys dragged me up to the dome in the Capitol! I realize the photo doesn’t prove I actually walked up.

Mario and Debbie Visit and Ice Bucket Challenge
