“Oh, has the smoke made it this far? the last time I couldn’t breathe, it was Canada on fire.”

“Well these are the California fires in Wyoming.”

2) There was a man in parking lot that looks like Santa (construction worker?). there was a dad & son standing inside near the cashier…

boy: dad! dad! that looks like Santa, …. … why does he have his hand down his butt?

dad: because THAT Santa doesn’t leave bricks of coal, he leaves “piles of poo” (censored)

3) “it’s remarkable how much you look like the young girl that was working here a couple weeks ago…”

[pics incl] We love the cabinets, however, some of us (all the females 😉 ) keep breaking our fingernails trying to open the drawers… namely, the new trash drawer. So we voted on handles. [BTW, we ordered MORE cabinets & tile so “part 2” of the main floor starts soon]

[pics incl] While driving, we saw several fire trucks on an overpass. After seeing a couple of overpasses with an honor guard, it occurred to me that a fireman had recently fallen in the line of duty, and I had the girls look behind us as a long procession was very slowly approaching on the freeway. We pulled over at our overpass and watched the procession and honor guard salute.
