Electronics Don’t See the Human in Me

Remember when I found out I do not really have fingerprints? [ http://blog.scottsontherocks.com/blog/2011/10/19/non-fingerprints/ ]

Now that touch-screens and biometrics have about taken over the world, I can hardly function! Throw the friendly brain clot in there and trying to post anything from my phone becomes a challenge.

While it takes me 10x longer to read/write/type anything, it also takes me 10x longer to successfully get my touchscreen to acknowledge my existence. Often, I end up with 4-5 copies of something because I managed that many from my frustrated 50 attempts! (Sorry if I send you 12 replies 🙂 )

William’s Youth Group Limousine

[pics incl] William’s youth group went to laser tag (I think about 50 kids). The middle school boys won the limousine ride to laser tag, they had a charter bus for all the others and the ride back.

A “Ha-Ha” with Cats

[pics incl]. Ya know…, I WAS comfy, stretched out by the fireplace, when Popcorn scootched in and propped his head under my hand like I had reached over to scratch his chin?!? Then Nightwing had to climb in my hair. Before I could object, Jeff grabbed a camera and said “You’re snuggling w/ two cats by the fire, BE STILL!” Next thing I know, Ashley says “ME, TOO!” and then, like they planned it, they both yelled “It’s a ha-ha!”

If you’ve never had “a ha-ha,” you should try it, it’s best at parties ;-P. [NOTE: If I can remember, I’ll hunt down “ha-ha” pics, otherwise, ask me!]

Ok, “A Ha-Ha” is something you learn at camp 😉 The first person lies down, next alternates with head on stomach, until you run out of people 😉 THEN, the first person says “HA,” and the next person says “HA-HA,” and the third “HA-HA-HA” and so forth. You have to start over if someone “laughs too many ha’s” Here are photos of some birthday party ha-ha’s.

Dinner with Patty and Burleigh

[pics incl]. We all went to dinner with Burleigh and Patty. William started not feeling well just before we arrived, so when we ran into another large group of neighbors, that included John and Roni, they brought him back home. It was great to see everyone and awesome to know they are willing to sacrifice their health 😉

And the Bubble Has Tipped

[pics incl] William is officially (as officially as it gets around here anyway), a smidge taller than Ashley… two down, one to go… unless you count Abby. ;-). Heather walked in seconds after I told them “back-to-back.” So she found a level and we moved the party from the carpet to the tile.
