Mountain Hard Wear

I’ve always thought I understood why Jeff NEEDS to wear a cap/hat when it’s cold outside. It makes sense… in the sun=”sunburn” and in the wind=”my head is cold.” Right?! Last year, we spent a lot of time, hunting down something he liked. He went through several, so as you can imagine, when he found one HE LOVED… price really didn’t matter 😉 I keep saying it’s like glasses, they should always get good ones!

I’ve always had longhair, so I only sunburn on my head if I forget to spray “the part” 🙂 I spent hours several years ago tracking down special “sunscreen hairspray for hair/scalp,” for MY HAIR and Jeff stole it. Makes perfect sense but why is it so hard to find stores that carry it?

Longhair in winter is awesome, unless it’s wet! It covers your ears, back of your neck, even the sides of your face as needed! 😉 I hardly ever wore a hat… I HAVE HAIR 🙂

About a month ago, it was chilly and about 20 steps out my door, I was brought to an instant halt by the pain of cold on my brain (yes, in that exact spot). I had to rethink the entire “walking around the neighborhood in cold but nice weather.” [NOTE: we solved that by buying a used treadclimber.] None of the winter hat/scarf combo sets I had were designed to keep one spot WARM.

I totally “get” Jeff’s NEED to keep his head warm now! This week, the temperatures had been below ZERO. I can’t even explain… the pain stops me in my tracks. I stole Jeff’s hat 😉

It became a mission to find something that would stay put but more importantly, keep one spot WARM.

Mountain Hard Wear=cold & wind proof! I now have a winter beanie 😉

I forgot to wear it once this week… that’ll teach me.
