[pics incl] Well, if you compare this MRI with the one in Oct 2013, not much has changed [http://blog.scottsontherocks.com/blog/2013/11/28/taz-last-brain-mri/ ]
I think I may have mastered making the Doc cringe: “we went up to the mountains for spring break” started the process but when I said “I attempted to exercise my arm to see if that would help” a full blown shaking of the head from side-side ensued.
Gonna try adding a baby aspirin daily for a couple of weeks, to see if that will help alleviate some of the pain/swelling in my neck. Keep ya posted.
On a side note:
Someone asked me why I should feel thankful [ http://blog.scottsontherocks.com/blog/2014/03/26/saying-thank-you/ ] He also said I was presumptuous thinking people pray for me.
I replied that I have many reasons to be thankful and (in a sarcastic but true tone) “today’s is that I get to go remind my kids that I told them to clean their rooms… yesterday!” He said “See, they didn’t do it, your head hurts, you should be upset that they didn’t.”
“No, I am grateful! I got to see them yesterday, spend time enough and actually felt well enough to go to their room. Yes, I told them to clean it. Later, we spent time together watching a movie that they keep turning down because my head hurt. Then they each came to my room to see how I am feeling… because they know my head hurts even if I do not say it. When I woke up this morning, I have the chance to do it again. I’d love their rooms to be clean, I know they will do it “when it needs doing.” I also know they’d rather sneak in my room and watch tv so low you can barely hear it (…ah, but we’ve found captions to be helpful).”
I don’t need to announce that my head hurts, they can see it in my eyes (there are also pictures they don’t need to see for proof). When my head hurts, I cannot do much, it’s obvious… and yet “USUALLY” those things get done regardless (unless I distract them with quiet movies 🙂 )
So, I’m thankful for another day of messy rooms… so they can “not clean them by spending time with me listening to words none of us can properly hear.”
I know I see prayer requests all the time and I pray for those I don’t know. I have zero problem ASSUMING that ya’ll have done the same for me. I don’t need to see proof! He’s right “maybe they aren’t praying” but I’ll take “a thought or two” as well!
