For SOME REASON this little faker has decided that she LOVES William best!
Shelbi picked Duke’s for her bday meal!
This is the first time Ashley met Andrew AND she received a course in infant care.
Heather and Drew live in the direct path of Hurricane Matthew along the coast, at the southern tip of GA in Kindgsland, GA just north Jacksonville, FL Needless to say, they needed a safe haven and today’s Angels are called Marc & Cody Doig!
Are you thinking you know that name? Marc used to own to house next door to us here in CO! He and Cody live in Wingate, NC. Hopefully, even if Matthew takes a mind of its own and heads inland, they are high and dry enough to hunker down and stay safe!

Check out my sprinkles in my smoothie! However, let it be known that no amount of sprinkles will mask the flavor of “one missed piece of mango” they tried to pick them all out of the fancy variety bag. Isn’t it stupid that I don’t like mango? I LOVE the way it smells but I cannot get it off of my tongue fast enough 🙁 Altough I did drink about half of it before encountering a second mango and it was YUMMY awesome!
I do not want to know what was in the French toast cuz it was deliscios & finding out it had questionable ingredients will just ruin that experience.
I’m also thrilled that the discussion to NOT add peanut butter to my birthday breakfast won. That a whole other story! HA!

[pics incl] Well I remember to snap a few photos of our campsite this weekend. We didn’t get there early enough to get our usual spot but we found one nestled up in the trees. They added site numbers so I took a pic and when we went into town I txt’d the kids. Guess they survived, they were mostly alive when we got home 😉
it was nice to unplug for a few days, didn’t have ANY cell service! it rained late every afternoon/evening but otherwise the weather was fabulous

grrr, this doc dilated my eyes so I can’t really see to type
This eye exam doc said it could be a few things 1) I don’t know how to use the trigger … ok that sounds harsh but I’d said something similar in that it’s possible there’s a disconnect between my brain and hand… I’m not recognizing fast enough?
or 2) even though all the optic nerve tests appear clear, there could be some some nerve “something” going on but behind my eye, where they cannot see but maybe an MRI/MRV could?
I’m leaning toward #1… my right hand doesn’t know what my left brain is doing. HA!
but… then again, when my head hurts, my left eye acts squirrelly!?
that was the right eye and like last time, seems all clear. guess my right hand knew how to work the button… first.

I had a neurology appointment today to follow up after the visual field test and the change in meds from 08/17/16. I wasn’t sure the answered to some of the optic nerve and “blind spot” questions but I’ll have eye doc follow up.
She was kinda all over the place LITERALLY and my head is bothering me so I was having trouble keeping up w/ her going in/out of the room so much.
I jotted down that she was asking when was the last time I had to take real drugs for head pain and I started telling her about everything I “do first” and made a comment that at this point I’ve just kinda accepted the fact that my head is gonna hurt all the time, I’m just trying to figure out how to deal best with that.
I think she FINALLY came on board to that thinking because the word STRATEGY actually came out of her mouth instead of “anxiety”
she even kinda let me roll back to some of my other thinking of dealing with it during the day one way and at night another… at least I think she agreed with me cuz she refilled an old prescription for one of the migraine meds that I think maybe worked ok in the past.
here’s to hoping “daytime” drugs work…

[pics incl] I haven’t ventured to drive down to CoSprings since my head started bothering me again (and a correlation to head pain is sometimes vision stuff…). Did I mention that William actually did the driving last time to Springs?!? Oh? I digress, definitely a STORY for another time!

Ashley has actually never re-met Shelbi since they moved to CO so this was a nice trip for them to chat a bit.
Shelbi is allergic to cats so scrubbed everything down walls & windows & furniture and hepa vacuum and cover the floor with clean sheets so she doesn’t track home any cat hair on her stuff. Doesn’t make for pretty pictures but it works!
Sadie made it abundantly clear whom she prefers… besides mama… that’d be William?!?!
I do believe Sadie completely understood our plan to become rich when she grows up and discovers an instant cure for these hiccups and her requirement to buy mama a new house… & me a fancy house because it was my idea 🙂
[pics incl] I had some vision tests today, prompted by my last neurology appointment (08/17/16). This week has been one where my arm has been doing that “weird let’s turn white & be cold” & my brain and eyes do whatever they please. Soooo, it was actually, a good day to do these tests, even though I had made this appointment weeks ago when I was NOT having these random severe symptom. Usually, it’s the opposite, you know… you call the doctor, you get there and of course no longer running a fever 😉
Today, was a “good” bad brain day.
Here are pics of some of the tests, doc promised to email me the cool optic nerve ones 😉 Hey Doc…. don’t forget 😉 He said my optic nerves look good.
After that… he lost me and I failed that test 🙁 Which is actually a data point I didn’t have before. I’m not sure what it all means but the next step is “off to see the wizard.” 😛 He’s sending me to a retina specialist… stay tuned, I will keep you posted.

It’s like a real live prescription not just a “note.” I found the “notes” too. she also changed my mess again that day. So I’ll spend some time updating 8/17/16! later
