The ice caper

I was at the store today and there is a little cafe area with tables.  I was standing near this area waiting for some produce to be unpacked onto the displays when I overheard some young men in a discussion over a cup of ice.  The first one picked up his cup and said “Why is there water in my cup?”  The second “Dunno, no one touched your cup, I’ve been sitting here the whole time.”  “But, I put ice in my cup earlier so I could just come and get a drink now… sooooo, someone must’ve taken my ice!”

I resisted saying “AND… HERE’S YOUR SIGN!”

Possible cure for a cold?

Today, I may have discovered a possible cure for a cold…  you take Chinese HOT peppers and put them through the garbage disposal with steaming water.  Further testing is needed as I do not currently have a cold and can now smell things over a mile away  😆

The thing about frogs…

I promise you that it doesn’t matter if the frog you find in your bed at 3:46am is real or not… YOU will be wide awake! And a corollary to this: if you are awakened by a frog in your bed in the middle of the night, you will remember EXACTLY what time that was.

[NOTE: The resident 10yr old CLAIMS it was accidental, that the frog (previously trying to get into the dryer)

Lesson Learned – Again

Ya know… I checked the jeans’ pockets before I put them in the dryer. I found the frog… and I was kinda glad it wasn’t alive. I found the taffy… the 3 Muskateers bar, the hot wheels, the golf tee and all the change.

But apparently I missed the “kneaded gum eraser” that must’ve been in Ashley’s pocket. The dryer was SMEARED with kneaded gum eraser. Think chewing gum, only it didn’t harden. Fortunately, it did not get on any of the jeans?!?! I’m not questioning it, it’s just what happened. 😉 I have to say that it is TOTALLY worth paying a 10-yr old boy to clean up this mess… AND he did an awesome job! THANKS!
