[pics incl] I opened the door and saw a snake. I did NOT scream or anything, primarily because this one is about 1/4th the size of the one yesterday, that I did NOT get pictures.
I knew this day would come, we were not really looking for it, but we all recognized it immediately. It’s the day that William was gonna make sure that Courtney “did not win.” Perhaps it has taken longer to get to this point because Courtney spent most of the past year in China.
I think it started with cheesecake and a race to the spot on the couch “to the right of dad,” that was really to his left? Courtney arrived there first but, in his defense, William had been sitting there “before cheesecake.”
Simultaneously, they yelled “Can I have permission to jerk her off of the couch?” and “Do I have permission to draw blood?” [He actually prepared by setting his cheesecake plate off to the side; She armed herself with her fork and confidently held her plate of cheesecake.]
Jeff, Ashley and I all yelled “NO!”
Ok, it’s not that arm wrestling that I’m referring to in the title… [http://blog.scottsontherocks.com/blog/2013/11/15/arm-wrestling/] It’s the follow up to that day 😉 because NOW, he outguns her by 3″ or 4″ and 35 pounds! I’m not saying he would have come out unscathed but I do believe she would have no longer been sitting on the couch. 🙂 He had planted his feet.
The follow-up to “today’s little spat” will be the exact same scenario where they DO NOT ask permission first!
Courtney has been sneezing uncontrollably. William nonchalantly said “Maybe she’s Bjorian.”

I can think of some very funny ways to play practical jokes on people… especially those with memory loss.
1) Rearrange the kitchen; having a kitchen fire is optional.
2) While they are out of town, close one of the neighborhood’s two grocery stores… have the other rearrange the aisles.
3) Randomly ask “Do you remember ‘this’ from last night?” (ice cream, movie, whatever) regardless of whether or not it actually occurred.

I “hate” trying to sell stuff but I’d like to be a better friend/supporter of YOU trying to sell stuff. 😉 I used to be pretty good about networking my friends together and I have kinda gotten away from that; I’d like to revisit this idea. Just because I don’t want/need/like/”know anything about” a product or service, doesn’t necessarily mean that ya’ll don’t either. In that line of thinking, I’d like to “support” my friends and family as they try to branch out and start new adventures. I’m not promising to sign up for a monthly fee, but I am willing to attend and even “host” events to help YOU.
I figure this is as good a way as any to help me reconnect with people! Besides, I’m also, all about giving “the little guy a raise!” [ http://blog.scottsontherocks.com/blog/2012/08/23/give-em-a-raise/ ]

[pics incl] Today is Brandon’s 17th birthday, so we gathered at a place of his choosing to celebrate! I know several of ya’ll took photos… I need copies 😉 Don Slack is Ray’s nephew and has been included in many of our “Scott family” gatherings! Hope to see more of you Don!
[pics incl] There is this assortment of seashells on the counter and then the giant piles of pillows in the hallway (yes, she’s in the middle of them). I “REALLY WISH” that someone had a camera rolling when Courtney saw William for the first time in months, her double-take reaction was priceless! There is a story that goes along with the seashells… YOU should really ask her about it 😉

[pics incl] On our way from Socorro, NM, we stopped in Santa Fe to visit one of Christy’s sons, Andrew. He gave us an awesome tour of Santa Fe Art & Design. The TV series” Longmire and Manhattan are both being filmed here.
Lunch at the India House was awesome and we forgot to take pics, so I made them stop walking at the grocery store and pose!
Loved the short film he showed us (written, directed & filmed by Andrew). Thanks for the wonderful break and come visit us now!
