A Day of Rememberance
Today is always a little somber for me, and I don’t mean to sadden you or others, just reflect. Today is the anniversary of the death of my grandpa Walter Hull, and of Jeff’s mom Linda Scott. I don’t mind spending a little time thinking about their impact on my life, often with a tear, a smile, or even a smirk!

128,000 feet above ground
So did ya’ll watch Felix Baumgardner’s jump from “the edge of space” at around 128,000 feet above Earth? I’m pretty much phobic about being off the ground, so I know Ashley’s desire to be the first woman to do this jump, did NOT come from any of my genes!

Too young to die!
Those of you whom do not live in Colorado may not have realized that last Friday an Amber Alert was activated for a 10 year old girl, Jessica Ridgeway, from Westminster, CO. The entire Denver Metro community has been on pins & needles, desperately waiting for news in the search for this little girl.
Today, they confirmed that her body has been found.
This entire story is heart-breaking and maddening, and has the entire state (and surrounding) on edge. False-alarm kidnapping attempts are increasing but ya know what… GOOD! That means people are paying attention. Our kids are a bit older, but it was still difficult to talk to them about such a horrendous occurrence. Our thoughts and prayers go out!
[NOTE: On 10/23/2012, an arrest was made in this case.]

Reference material for hormone health
Someone sent me this link so I thought I’d share it… I’ve read some of these but not all are related to thyroid health. However, doesn’t hurt to have a list of things to read 😉

An eighty-nine cent bribe
Apparently, the cost to bribe an 11 year old boy to get a dead mouse out of a box is $0.89 (the price of a 3 Musketeers bar).
