Today, I was feeling kinda happy that I’m FINALLY getting letters going … in the real live snail-mail world… and yet, it feels weird to be happy about something so simple.

It may not seem like much but I’m keeping my promise to get/stay in touch with people. (I have a HUGE extended family). I had to give up on the handwriting, apparently my hand & brain still aren’t saying the same thing HOWEVER, that was really plan B. This week “Plan A” is in effect and YAY! Letters (typed) are being mailed! (if you want a snail-mail from me, pm me your info). I still “live” on my website, so if you want REAL-TIME updates, go there, not FB. (see comments for link).

Today, doing a little happy dance… really slow so it doesn’t shake my brain

Right about the same time a friend posted this;

That about sums up my life right now!

OK, I keep saying that I want to do a better job of keeping in touch [ http://blog.scottsontherocks.com/blog/2013/01/01/happy-new-year/ ] and I seriously need to do thank you’s for all the help/thoughts/prayers and Christmas is coming up…. SOOOO, for the sake of NOT STRESSING OUT…  I’m just gonna start sending letters/cards to people.  I considered doing “canned” letters, etc but I opted for PERSONAL notes on each one.  I may send you an email to confirm your address and any kids/grandkids, long lost friends, etc.  You may not get yours before Christmas but I’ve started 😉 I was trying to think of how to start… and I basically started “at the top” by age… haha!  (if I know it, otherwise… I’m guessing, wish me luck)! 🙂

If you are eagerly awaiting and just can’t stand it one second longer, I would love to know that… shoot me an email with your address and I’ll bump you up the list.  Seriously… I’m organized enough, I think… feel free to test that theory 😉

If you think I am missing someone’s new info, please help me out and send it to me!  If you haven’t received anything in the mail from me in a while, help me out and send me the info! 🙂 otherwise, I’ll have to call your mom/cousin/next door neighbor to hunt you down! 🙂

I had the opportunity to catch up with an old friend today and I’m gonna add that (“catching up with people”) to my list of things…. like writing those “thank you’s” I keep talking about! [http://blog.scottsontherocks.com/blog/2013/07/25/thanks-for-sharing/ ] That’s what today was partially about, helping me ACTUALLY work on those letters and keeping in touch with family and friends. It was an awesome lunch and now I’m inspired to do this more often with people whom I may have lost touch.

Kinda on this topic, I have been saying we need to get better about “supporting our local businesses!” If you happen to have a website/product/service/widget, let me know and I’ll add a link to it! Doesn’t matter if it’s “local to me” because this blog reaches people all over the country (it’s fascinating and a bit overwhelming to feel the love)!
