Smoke Test, Take Two.

[pics incl] Remember the time we filled up the house w/ smoke, on purpose? [http://blog.scottsontherocks.com/blog/2017/08/15/the-house-is-full-of-smoke-again/] We are still having intermittent issues… so we have a smokey house… again… again

The first time, we found the issue, we unfortunately made the assumption we only had ONE issue. [NOTE: first problem found up inside hole #2 in pix below] This time, there were two more.

this time there was an issue found up inside hole #6 Yup, just sawed off like the previous.

and another up in the laundry room between the bathroom above and this light area.

I did climb up in there and take some video of the smoke but I couldn’t reach to take pix of the actual pipe.

crazy thing is that we have a bi-weekly cleaning crew and they were here yesterday… sigh

NOTE UPDATE : a plumber came out the following day, and fixed ALL the issues properly. I took pix of the holes in the ceilings on the main floor…. but between the first smoke test and the basement remodeling…. there are many missing drywall areas in basement (haha). the drywall crew comes out in a couple weeks!

ANOTHER NOTE UPDATE: evaporator cooler on roof was replaced the following day too & they cut holes in all the upstairs bedrooms for the vents

so… yah… so much for the cleaning crew HAHAHAHA

Camping 06/24/2019

[pics incl] We are gonna be camping on/off for several days. Jeff & I took our camper to the campground nearby on Monday and went out to breakfast on our way back on Tuesday (we have home repairs also being done during this time).

Ashley was asleep too and had on noise canceling headphones. The thunderclap woke her up (she doesn’t wake up easily! The cats had been acting strangely prior to this and that what made me notice the incredible downpour of rain.

Father’s Day 06/16/2019

[pics incl] Ashley made Jeff biscuits and was about to start on sausage gravy when Heather and Daff arrived. Heather assisted with eggs and gravy.

When Heather was little, she used to make “coupons” that were good for various items… ie free babysitting. She eventually learned to put expiration dates on them HAHAHAHA. She scribbled one out and Daff jumped on board and signed it too. Boy is he about to learn his lesson hahaha

Jeff didn’t waste any time cashing that one in! and he also played the… it’s Father’s Day “help me do this too” card a couple times

Later, Ashley said she wanted to learn how to cook something from me… so she can say “I learned that from my mom” that started a funny txt thread w/ my sister Stacy.

The Coffee Caper

[pics incl] A while back, Andrea & Mark’s Keurig died and they could only get a cheap two-mug replacement. It’s been causing them fits for past couple weeks and Uncle Norman DRINKS COFFEE! I remembered we had some Keurig points so Andrea paid the difference and ordered a replacement last Friday afternoon. (I received the notice that I’d get an email when it shipped)

I had this brilliant idea…. my parents aren’t home so…. sshhh… let’s go… “borrow” theirs. Uncle Norman may or may not have helped me with this endeavor.

I was mid-cleaning all the pieces and replacing the filter (figured if I was stealing their coffee maker, it’s the least I could do), when Andrea came in from work and said “There’s a big box on the front porch.” me:”well it’s NOT the Keurig cuz we JUST ordered it…AND…I never got the shipped email.” [covers her mouth laughing]”Oh…O-K…right” (snicker) as Mark puts THE KEURIG BOX on the counter?!?!

Uncle Norman and I returned the clean & refreshed coffee maker to mom’s. Basically, we broke in and stole it just to clean it. HAHAHAHA

but for the record…. Uncle Norman & my Murphy’s Law isn’t as bad as Andrea & Mark’s

Well, it’s taking me sooo much longer to type up posts. I have lots of drafts (that’s why you are seeing dates that might be a few weeks ago). I’m starting them with notes and finishing as I have ability. So YES… There are more pics from more of my time in TX etc. I’ll just go in order 😉

please bear with me as am still really struggling with spell and Grammer as well. hope I’m at least making sense (haha cuz ya know… sometimes I don’t and it with makes the story WAY more funny… or… offends people….) wish me luck
