After yesterday’s fiasco of the sleep study that wasn’t, I finally got some sleep and while my vision is still a bit blurry I actually went all night without any pain meds!??!  OK, I’ll take that.

Today’s visit was more about evaluating me in person and scheduling a follow up MRI for one month since my last one… which, if my math is correct, falls around May 22ish.  I’ll keep you posted on that.  Doc messed with my head and neck today and if you have spent any time arount me since this all started, you will note that I don’t let ANYONE near my head.  Call me skittish…  He assured me that he could not “knock anything loose and cause a reclot” but that wasn’t my ONLY concern.  Soooo, now my head and neck are REALLY sore… trying not to be paranoid and hopefully that will settle down and I just need to let the meds kick in.

My typing is a bit easier (or at least the dang spell check isn’t yelling at me for EVERY SINGLE WORD!) but my vision is not clear.  My thinking is not 100% either but I can tell it’s improving.

Thanks for all the thoughts & prayers and emails and chocolate and cards, etc, etc 😉  UMMM, the cards have to be read to me, so those of you (girls) with “cheerleader handwriting” have made William’s life very interesting 😉

My vision is still blurry today, but that is not entirely accurate; I just can’t see up close–which is what I imagine some of you old folks are experiencing 😉 So in actuality I can see fairly well between 3 and 9 feet, just don’t ask me to read 😉 As such I cannot see my phone or any texts that may have been sent to me. The doctors appointment today went fine–we just need to watch the vision for the next few of days. The buzzing hasn’t gone away as of yet, but it is still at a tolerable level.

Kinda have that akcy pain on the side of my head again but its better today than it was yesterday.

While im shure it seems like won step forward and two back… my head hasnt fallen off [yet] and i figure as long as its attached, i can still TALK… and hold yall hostige that way 😉

Past couple of days, I think I’ve kinda weaned myself down to taking fewer meds… I mean pain/drugs. I’m still on lovonox (blood thinner thing that’s the shots in my stomack) and the anti-scigure meds. (ug, spell check isnt helpful so while i know parts of my typing are better, I cant figure out some… sorry).

The LOUD pounding is not quite as bad but has kinda alternated with loud buzzing now. However, Im either getting more used to it all, or its lessened up enough that Im not taking drugs the second the alarm goes off that i can!

The loud BANGING in my head is more if a dull buzzing today. Kinda still loud in my ears but definitely better. Maybe what I needed was a couple of friends to come over and just let me talk 😉 I’m certain I made NO SENSE but it was nice to interact with people who were not my nurse!

Today I went in “pub-lick”… Ashley didnt get the Ron White reference… actually, I’m glad ;-). Just took a ride to pick her up from school/back. Felt good to be out of the house for a bit, but yah… definitely needed a nap after such strenuous activity. Bounding isnt quite as loud but the buzzing in my ears/head is still there. If I had to choose, definitely this over “jackhammer man!”

I know I have been quiet past couple of days, and you are right, I wasn’t feeling very good. BUT… this time is different than before so I just have to straddle the ligne between knowing when my brain is changing up the clots and “panic bode” …

I did feel well enough today to publish my funny story from my night in reccovery on the 19th. I also put one out there about what happened in ICU one night. No, I dnd’t type these all today, I had made notes at the time and have been tinkering with them sense then. It’s taken me this long to finish.

I actually had a very refreshing nap… small joys. while my head still hurts, its not in the front so obnoxious that i cannot hear anthing else. my vision still sucks but one thing at a time… i can see well enough to function, just not read.

Have had lots of questions about this… so feel compelled to share.

I think what most people don’t realize about my “recovery” is this: if you came and sat next to me, its quite possible that you would NEVER notice a problem. I can walk/talk just fine… spelling sucks and clearly I need a trip to the zoo to relearn my animals ;-). I do not see/realize the stuff I do get wronge. Its very frustrating. At least I think I know my kids birthdays this time ;-). Spell check doesnt help because often I am putting words… just the wrong ones.
